A WALK IN THE ANDEAN FOOTHILLS
This itinerary is just an example to serve as inspiration: every trip can be adapted to suit your group, your interests and how far off the beaten track you want to go.
Exploring the best of Colombia, with a 3-4 day hike in the foothills of the Andes at its centre. Ideal for those who love to walk but don't feel ready for the more challenging Nevado de Tolima hike. The Andean foothills trip offers manageable distances at modest altitudes, led by a local guide, carrying only daypacks and staying in comfortable lodges along the way.
As well as the walk, we base ourselves in the lovely historic town of Barichara, the beautiful former capital of Cartagena and an old coffee ranch house in the hills above Santa Marta.
