SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

The Aonach Eagach Traverse

Tackle one of Scotland’s great traverses, following the dramatic Aonach Eagach ridge high above Glencoe through some of the Highlands’ most spectacular scenery.

SNOWDONIA

The Snowdon Horseshoe

Take on one of Wales’ great mountain days, following a spectacular high-level circuit around Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), with rugged ridges, dramatic peaks and extraordinary views across Eryri.

LAKE DISTRICT

The Fairfield Horseshoe

Climb from Ambleside onto a sweeping high-level circuit of some of the Lake District’s finest fells, with long ridgelines and magnificent views across the lakes and surrounding peaks.

From early 2027, Lachie will be operating as a fully-qualified UK Mountain Leader, taking small groups of hikers to the mountains of Snowdonia, the Scottish Highlands and the Lake District.

Lachie can plan and lead hikes of varying levels of challenge for groups of all abilities. As with his Colombian and Central Asian adventures, he likes to take walkers beyond the overcrowded motorways up Ben Nevis and Snowdon to show them secluded valleys and staggeringly beautiful ridge walks, while teaching them about the history, flora and fauna and geography of these magical areas. He can also advise on logistical issues, making the trip as easy and enjoyable as possible. No guarantees of good weather, but you never know your luck!
